Alteration and Extension of the Historisches Museum Saar in Saarbrücken

As part of the invited competition for the extension of the Historisches Museum Saar, a museum concept design was created that combines the historical context of the castle with contemporary architecture. With a clear gesture, the museum opens up as a holistic experiential space to the urban space and gains presence as an attractive cultural anchor point in Saarbrücken. The transformation of the internal circulation and layout enables generous and dynamic museum usage.
